We see the Black Ember 3-way Forge Pack as the next step in quality performance and design. Ive got the black multi-cam and its really cool to look at without looking tactical. The Forge backpack expands from 20 to 30 liters meaning you can always come back with travel treasures.

My first backpack review of the year is the Black Ember Forge. Probably because the briefcase mode handles make it look like a business bag. Black Ember is known for its modular backpacks that do everything and the latest bag will continue that trend.
No matter how and where you choose to carry it the Forge is in it for the long haul. The Forge from Black Ember is a convertible backpack-briefcase-messenger with expandability from 20-30L. Their latest project the Forge was designed to be your one bag when you travel but it can shape-shift and transform between three distinct carry styles to handle your EDC and work commute too.

The TKS is the prefect way for me to extend my everyday carry. Im currently reviewing that bag now but Black Ember has an even newer backpack thats 3-in-1 functionality sets a new bar for what to expect in your everyday carry. Created by Black Ember an independent design company based out of San Francisco the Forge wants to solve a lot of the problems commuters and pack wearers have had since the 90s.
It seems lighter than it looks. No more minimal or modular for this one. I dont understand the weight complaints.
